Then Cry Baby says the Director wants Margo on a stool, soles whipped with a crop, no cause given. Margo’s stunned but complies. She gets rude with Cry Baby, who switches the crop for a cord and gives 50 strikes. Margo counts them coolly. Cry Baby says she’s finished and wants to go, but Margo orders her to face the wall, hands up.
